  • Coke contributes to acne problems because of the high level of sugar
  • Coke contributes to weight gain
  • Coke contributes to type 2 diabetes, heart attack, stroke and certain types of cancer
  • Recent studies have shown that sugar actually activates the same areas of the brain as heroin and that sugar actually is an addictive substance. A study involving rats as test subjects showed that given the option of water containing heroin or water containing sugar that all the rats actually choose the water containing sugar!
  • Studies show that high sugar beverages, snacks and sweets lead to sugar addiction with highs and lows
  • Coke contains caffeine that works as a pick-me-up but so does the sugar. The sugar ensures along with the caffeine that you will feel a high/increased energy, but this is short
  • High level of sugar strains your liver as it converts sugar into fat
  • After an hour from consumption, phosphoric acid in the coke has bond calcium, magnesium and zinc releasing it through the urine
